About Breeze Electrical

One electrician, start to finish

I am Sam, the electrician behind Breeze Electrical. It is a one person business by design, based in Blackpool and covering the whole Fylde Coast. You deal with me from the first phone call to the last bit of clearing up.

Qualifications and cover

Every one of these is current. If you want to see a certificate before I start, just ask, it is a fair question and I would rather you did.

18th Edition (AM2S)

The current wiring regulations qualification, including the practical AM2S assessment. It is the baseline for signing off installation work.

NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical

The full apprenticeship-route qualification, assessed on real installations rather than in a classroom.

ECS Gold Card

Industry recognised competence card, required for most commercial and site work.

PASMA & IPAF

Certified for mobile tower scaffold and powered access. That is why high ceilings, stairwells and commercial units are not a problem.

Health & Safety and Asbestos Awareness

Required for working safely in older properties, of which the Fylde Coast has plenty.

Fully insured

Public liability cover in place. Certificate available on request.

A bit more about how I work

Why the business exists

I served a full apprenticeship and worked for other people before setting up on my own. The thing that pushed me into it was seeing how often customers were passed between a salesperson, a scheduler and whichever engineer was free that day, and how much got lost in between. Breeze Electrical is deliberately the opposite of that. You speak to me, I quote the job, I do the job, and I am the one who answers the phone if there is a problem afterwards.

What that actually means for you

It means the person who looked at the job is the person doing it, so nothing gets mistranslated. It means the price you were given is the price, unless something genuinely unexpected turns up behind a wall, in which case you get a phone call and a decision rather than a surprise on the invoice. It also means I am not trying to fill a diary for six engineers, so I have no reason to sell you a rewire when a consumer unit change and some remedial work would do.

The work I like doing

Honestly, the ones where there is something to think about. Lighting schemes where the circuits and switching have to be planned properly, period properties where you have to find a route that does not wreck the plasterwork, fault finding on installations three other people have already looked at. The straightforward jobs get the same care, but those are the ones I enjoy.

Certification and paperwork

Every job gets tested and certified properly. You get the certificate, not a promise of one, and I will explain what it says rather than handing you a form covered in numbers. For landlords and businesses that paperwork is the thing that protects you, so it is worth having it done and filed correctly.

Where I work

Blackpool is my base and the whole Fylde Coast is my patch, Bispham, Cleveleys, Thornton, Poulton-le-Fylde, Fleetwood, Lytham St Annes, Kirkham and everywhere in between. If you are just outside that, ring and ask, the answer is usually yes.

Qualified, insured, local, and easy to get hold of. Call 07787 111400 and you will get me, not a call centre.

Common questions

I hold 18th Edition (AM2S), NVQ Level 3 and an ECS card, and I am fully insured. Ask me about scheme registration for your specific job and I will give you a straight answer on what applies and what I can certify.
Yes, every job. On larger installations I will occasionally bring in a second pair of hands, but I am on site and I am responsible for the work.
Of course. Ask and I will send the certificate over before the job starts.
Ring or WhatsApp 07787 111400, or use the callback form. For anything beyond a small job I will come and look at it rather than guess over the phone.
